Another Former Trojan Gets In Trouble

Last week it was Dwayne, now it's big Lendale being charged with destruction of public property and disobedience to a lawful order.  I used to ride my bike to class and see Lendale hollering at random people out of the back of Alex Holmes' Escalade.  I remember chuckling to myself and thinking then, "What a fool."  Now I don't chuckle so much.

• According to multiple Yahoo sources, Lendale White has literally ballooned and now weighs over 260 pounds.  That means he has gained around 30 pounds this off-season.  Think he's taking his NFL career seriously?

• Matt Hayes ranks the top 25 players for 2007 and three Trojans are on it:

4.  LB Keith Rivers, USC
11.  QB John David Booty, USC
21.  OT Sam Baker, USC

He also gives honorable mention to Taylor Mays who just missed the cut. 

• A little deja vu?  OJ Mayo takes over on day one of practices for the Roundball Classic:

Mayo started off the Roundball practices just as he was in the McDonald’s practices: Hands down the best player on the court. He simply did whatever he wanted out there, both in terms of running a team and scoring for himself. While there were a few instances of questionable shot selection on the day, he did an outstanding job of getting everyone else involved in the mean time. The Huntington star showed the ability to defend anyone on the court when he chose to exert forth the necessary effort, and put on a downright incredible shooting display after practice. As he hit countless three pointer after three pointer, a former college coach sitting next near by mentioned that he had counted Mayo hit at least 12 consecutive three pointers, all from well beyond the collegiate three point line...

Of course let's hope he doesn't repeat his performance at the McDonald's All-American game.  My gut feeling tells me OJ is going to have a big game. 

This will be OJ's last all-star event since you are ruled ineligible by the NCAA if you participate in 3 or more all-star events.
