SC's latest commitment from Danville, CA:
“I committed to USC last night,” said McAllister. “I let the coaches know last night, and it was a tough decision between USC and Cal.”
McAllister is being recruited as a safety, and has no problem switching sides of the ball at the next level.
“They (USC) are recruiting me as a safety,” he said “I have no problem playing defense in college, USC and Cal were both recruiting me for defense.”
McAllister became the ninth commitment for USC in the 2008 class Sunday evening, adding to an already impressive class.
Apparently Drew really impressed the coaches at the Rising Stars camp. It's always intriguing to see the coaching staff excited about a player that isn't highly rated. I remember seeing Josh Pinkard (a 3-star) in an All-Star game before he arrived for Fall camp and thinking we had a legit star on our hands. The same can be said for Kevin Ellison, and I believe players like Vincent Joseph and Curtis McNeal will exceed expectations. Hopefully Drew follows this trend...
