The official visit list:
- Kyle Prater, WR (Hillside, IL)
Ranking: 5-Star, #2 Overall, #1 WR
Status: Committed
- SC will try to seal the deal on Kyle who is expected to be a December graduate and early enrollee. The recruiting battle has come down to SC and ND. This is the perfect opportunity to lock-in Kyle's commitment with all the turmoil in South Bend.
- Jackson Jeffcoat, DE (Plano, TX)
Ranking: 5-Star, #6 Overall, #1 DE
Status: Texas, USC, Houston
- Looks like Texas leads this battle with Houston as the dark-horse pick due to Jackson's dad being on the coaching staff. SC still has a real shot at landing Jackson. The coaches can sell the early playing time here at the strong-side spot with Armond Armstead flipping between SDE and DT (true position).
- Dillon Baxter, WR/RB (San Diego, CA)
Ranking: 4-Star, #26 Overall, #1 All-Purpose RB
Status: Committed
- Dillon has stayed solid through his commitment but recently took an official visit to Michigan where he was guaranteed early playing time. Still looks like Dillon is firmly committed. SC has the wildcat formation ready to go for next year.
- Garrison Smith, DT (Atlanta, GA)
Ranking: 4-Star, #48 Overall, #3 DT
Status: Committed to Georgia
- Garrison has been a solid commitment to UGA. SC will try to do a last-minute sell, but I doubt anything will come out of this visit.
- Tony Jefferson, S/LB (Chula Vista, CA)
Ranking: 4-Star, #50 Overall, #4 S
Status: Committed to UCLA
- Tony's commitment to the Bruins has softened up recently with Oklahoma and SC coming back in the picture. Many believe if SC lays out a clear plan for Tony, he'll flip his commitment.
- George Uko, DT (Chino, CA)
Ranking: 4-Star, #51 Overall, #4 DT
Status: USC, UCLA
- SC currently leads but George has been all over the place with his favorite list. UCLA will definitely be a contender with Brian Price possibly heading to the NFL draft; early playing time has been the #1 priority for Uko all through his commitment.
- Demetrius Wright, CB/S (Corona, CA)
Ranking: 4-Star, #99 Overall, #10 S
Status: USC, UW, Arizona
- SC leads but Demetrius is coming off a big weekend in Arizona which he's been raving about all week. If DW has a great time at SC, I feel good about our chances; if not, Arizona might make up a lot of ground.
Great weekend for recruiting. Beyond selling the recruits, we just need to take care of business on the field and everything will fall in place.
