From ESPN.com:
Booty will start at quarterback Saturday night when the 13th-ranked Trojans face Oregon State. He sat out three games because of a broken middle finger on his throwing hand and was replaced by Mark Sanchez.
"We're going with John David," USC coach Pete Carroll said after practice Thursday. "It's clear he had a good, solid week. He's good to go, he's ready to play, he's had a couple of weeks off. We look for him to jump back where he left off. Mark also is ready to go."
Lot of talk about Oregon State having one of the best rushing defenses in the nation; statistically they're the best, but when you look at their performance against the top Pac-10 teams the numbers aren't so impressive. They gave up 150 yards to Justin Forsett (Cal) and 91 yards to Ryan Torain (ASU); the only running back to run for over 50 yards against SC's defense was Jonathan Stewart for 103 yards. Nevertheless, JDB should see a lot of action on Saturday, let's hope he's not too rusty.
