- Nice article on incoming freshman Marcus Simmons. Ever since he committed to SC, all I've been hearing about is his tenacious defense:
"He is in an elite class when it comes to understanding the importance of defense," said former Tioga coach Alan Tinsley, who has tried to draw up gameplans against Simmons for four years. "There are a lot of high school kids that can put on a show on offense, but Marcus understands the importance of giving everything he has on both ends of the court. That's a jewel in the rough at this level."
If Kasey Cunningham also develops into the gritty rebounding specialist he's expected to be, we should be a very complete team next season.
- ParagonSC at ConquestChronicles.com breaks down Damian Williams' shoulder injury in great detail with diagrams and videos. Seems like an injury that can be reaggravated fairly easily since it is in an area that takes a great deal of impact? Like Paragon says in the post, at least Damian gets to rehab his shoulder in a year where he had to sit out anyways.
- Who else is excited to see Jamere Holland take the field? I'm looking forward to seeing him stretch the field this season. Based on reports from Spring practice, it looks like he has a solid chance at getting some PT this season.
