- So are all the players I'm looking forward to seeing at the Huddle going to get injured? This time it's Allen Bradford with a hip flexor. Paragon at ConquestChronicles.com breaks it down once again, he's becoming the injury specialist, and thankfully it doesn't look too serious.
- Good to hear that Gabe and Nick are still attending classes. Also nice sign to see Gabe talking about how he'll coexist with OJ Mayo at the guard position next year:
"I think what we'll do is play the way we did sometimes last year with me and Ryan,'' Pruit said of his teaming with the late Ryan Francis. "We'd both play point guard and both play shooting guard. It worked that way with me and Ryan.''
I think clearly his heart is pointing towards coming back. I'll remain in hope that he'll take care of business in the classroom...
- This isn't sports related, but I received an alumni e-mail this morning with news that USC has named Professor Jim Ellis as Dean of the Marshall School of Business. I couldn't be more ecstatic about the appointment since I think Jim is a great man and will be an excellent dean.
I respect
ProfessorDean Ellis greatly (as did 99.9% of my fellow classmates) because not only was he a brilliant professor, he was an accomplished businessman. And unlike the past few Deans who were focused heavily on the corporate world, I think Dean Ellis will embrace the Entrepreneurship program that I graduated from and push us back into the top 3. Real happy about the news...
