Here's some nice info on the players entering or considering the NBA draft. I've sorted out the information relevant to USC and added my own notes:
Returning
Julian Wright, 6-8 PF - Kansas
- Very active player that will be a headache around the basket when we play them later this year. Scored 10 pts and 6 boards in our meeting last season.Mario Chalmers, 6-2 PG - Kansas
- A quick guard that can put up points. Scored 13 pts in our meeting last season.Brook Lopez, 7-0 C - Stanford
- He single-handedly beat us in our first meeting. Will without question be a big factor next season.Chase Budinger, 6-7 SF - Arizona
- Played well as a freshman and will likely be there go-to guy next season.
On the Fence
Nick Young, 6-5 SG - USC
- I think Nick leaves for the NBA. If he comes back we're a NC contender and preseason top 10 team.Gabe Pruitt, 6-4 PG - USC
- I think he wants to come back, but there is always the possibility that he might enter the draft due to academic issues.Darren Collison, 6-1 PG - UCLA
- Likely will declare but not enter the draft. Losing Collison would be a major blow to UCLA's success next season.Aaron Afflalo, 6-5 SG - UCLA
- Everyone expects him to enter the draft, but the kid has to be unsettled over his performance in the Final Four. Who knows at this point?Josh Shipp, 6-5 SG - UCLA
- Will likely declare but withdraw his name from the draft. I'll be shocked if he enters.Spencer Hawes, 7-0 C - Washington
- His decision will be the difference between UW finishing in the middle of the Pac-10 and competing for the Pac-10 title.Marcus Williams, 6-7 SG - Arizona
- Was unstoppable at one point in our first meeting and looked awful the second time around. His shaky relationship with Lute Olson is no secret. Likely will enter.DeVon Hardin, 6-11 C - Cal
- Said he would declare if his foot fully healed. Likely will withdraw if he doesn't project to be a 1st rounder. I think he comes back.Darrell Arthur, 6-9 PF - Kansas
- Another player that'll give SC a headache in next season's meeting. According to the site he is split on his decision. I think he comes back.
Brandon Rush, 6-7 SG - Kansas
- Rumored to be leaning towards entering the draft. Was leading scorer on team last season.
Will continue to update as news comes out.
